Looking Forward to 2017

Congratulations you have made it through 2016 and are on your way into 2017. As we finish up this year we enter that fun time where everyone starts wondering and asking about how you are going to make the next year different or what your new resolutions are going to be. Social media is going to be blown up with people talking about how the New Year is going to be so different and so much greater than the previous year. The New Year is not going to make itself great though. So that being said, here are a few tips on how to make 2017 the best year possible:

First, acknowledge the good things and accomplishments that happened for you in 2016. Whether you bought a new house, went back to school, or got that first double under there has to be something that you achieved this year. Use that accomplishment as a starting point for the next year.

Next, make realistic resolutions. Too often people make resolutions that are unrealistic or unattainable, so as you are making your resolutions remember to set a time for accomplishing them, make them measurable so you know when you complete them, and make them meaningful to yourself. If you do those three things you will have a higher chance of sticking to and accomplishing your resolutions.

Finally, break out of your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to try new things, talk to new people, or push yourself harder than you ever have before.

2017 is only going to be a great year if you make it one, no one is going to hand you anything. But if you work hard and follow the advice above there is no doubt in my mind that you are going to have a great year ahead of you. Learn from the past so you can have a better future, and remember your Double Edge family is here to help along the way. Happy New Year everybody, make it a great one!
