Okay so I am going to go out on a limb here and talk about something that seems to be a little taboo in our society these days. It is a subject that everyone knows, yet no one wants to talk about. It can’t be proven by science, yet millions of people have dedicated their lives to it. Its nothing that you can see, touch, hear, smell or taste but you can feel it with every step you take. What I am going to write about is Faith…
I know what you might be thinking right now, what does religion have to do with fitness? How they compare might surprise you.
You must be willing to invest your time
We should all know by now that results don’t just magically fall from the sky. Want to lose weight? Dial in your diet. Want to gain muscle? Lift weights. Want to grow in your faith? Find time to read scripture. Want to connect with god? Turn off your electronics and pray.
See just like everything in life, we have to be willing to invest into something we want to get the results we need.
When you first start to exercise you want to get in shape and feel better, what you find out is that you need to make it part of your lifestyle so you don’t go back to the way you felt before. Faith is no different. You may start by wanting a change in your life, what you soon find out is that when faith is completely part of your life it is now something that you need.

Its better to do it with others
Do you remember what you did before Welded? Like most of us we were either running, lifting, or sitting on an elliptical machine by ourselves losing motivation and hardly seeing results. What makes Welded so great? Its not the programming, it’s the fellowship that we share with others that brings us back everyday to do it all over again no matter how hard the workout was.
Faith can be looked at with the same lens. Can we connect with our faith on our own? Of course we can! But just like you can get some results from sitting on an elliptical machine by yourself, you wont yield the greatest results unless you share your passion with others.

Its About a Lifestyle Change
Sure it always feels great to lose a quick 10 or 15lbs and look amazing! But what happens after? Do you continue to dedicate your life to your wellness and health, or do you go back to wing Wednesdays and counting your steps?
Making a lifestyle change means creating new habits, saying goodbye to the old ones and inviting yourself to be a new person that you love and respect everyday.
Faith can create a quick jolt to your life when things aren’t going your way, or there doesn’t seem to be a way out. But what happens when faith strengthens you and things smooth out to “normal” again? Do we continue to feed our faith and grow as individual’s? Or do we feel comfortable again and go back to the very ways that brought us to being lost?
Making a change is never easy but neither is staying where you are at. The first part of making any lifestyle change is taking the first step.
