Hey Fit Fam! As some of you know i had just recently went to a BirthFit coaching seminar. Most of you probably have no idea what that is, so for starters BirthFit is “To cultivate awareness and enhance education throughout the motherhood transition by developing and producing one of a kind BIRTHFIT experiences through in-person classes and distance learning so that a woman has the space to make her own informed, intuitively guided choices.” -BirthFit
BirthFit is founded on Four Pillars: Fitness, Nutrition, Mindset, and Connection!
BirthFit is a movement in helping expecting and postpartum moms take charge of their own bodies, as well as create a birth journey they can call their own! Every woman’s story is different and that is something that should be embraced and respected. Unfortunately, a lot of the times, especially in the fitness world, it can be very routine. “Has it been six weeks? Did your Dr. Clear you? Okay, just listen to your body?” what does that even mean, i’ll tell you what that means because that was me, it’s a verbal conversation telling each other hey, i don’t really know how to help you and i know you don’t know how to help you but your doctor says it’s okay so here we go! This is so unfair and not what we stand for as coaches but because the knowledge of pregnancy and postpartum training is rarely talked about this is what majority of trainers know.
Now because of BirthFit I know exactly what questions to ask, what questions you should talk to your Dr. about prior to based on you pregnancy or postpartum journey. Because of BirthFit i gained a lot of knowledge that I am so excited to use in our community and help educate and provide information so that you can make the best choices for you and your body. Now did I learn everything, oh my goodness no. Their is so much to be learned in this field, but what i did learn is that BirthFit is a Tribe, woman supporting woman and I am so grateful for all the resources and new friends that i made who are all on the same page in helping the women around me!
I am excited for this next journey to continue to help and support the mommas around me.
